Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your office located?

My office is conveniently located on MacArthur Boulevard, on the border of Newport Beach and Irvine.

How does online therapy work?

Online therapy is a simple, convenient option for clients who need scheduling flexibility or prefer to meet from home.

I use SimplePractice, a secure platform built for therapists. Before each session, you’ll receive a unique link by email. You click it at our scheduled time, and we meet face-to-face on video.

Do you offer a free initial phone consultation?

Yes. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, so we’ll start with a brief phone call. You’ll get a feel for how I work, and we can decide together whether it’s a good fit before scheduling a first session.

How long is a typical session?

Individual sessions are 50 minutes. Couples sessions are 90 minutes.

Who do you work with?

I work with adolescents ages 11 and up, as well as adult men and women, individuals and couples.

What does therapy with you actually look like?

My approach is humanistic and narrative, grounded in the belief that you aren’t broken, you’re responding to your experiences.

Together, we slow down and look at the patterns you’ve been carrying, where they came from, and which ones you’re ready to set down.

The work won’t always feel comfortable. Therapy rarely does when it’s working. But it’s collaborative and paced with care, and you’ll never be pushed faster than you’re ready to go.

Are you licensed?

Yes, I’m a licensed psychotherapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA BBS).

Do you offer Gottman Method couples therapy?

Yes. I provide Gottman Method couples therapy to help partners improve communication, manage conflict, and rebuild trust using research-based tools and interventions.

Do you work with couples dealing with infidelity?

Yes. I work with couples navigating infidelity and trust concerns, supporting both partners in understanding what happened, rebuilding emotional safety, and deciding how they want to move forward.

Do you see individuals as well as couples?

Yes. In addition to couples and marriage counseling, I provide individual therapy for women navigating midlife transitions such as menopause, divorce, and loss of a parent. Adolescent therapy focuses on peer relationships, school issues, social pressure, and self-confidence. My work with individuals explores various areas of personal growth. I also work with individuals impacted by ADHD or specific learning differences.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach integrates the Gottman Method, Narrative Therapy, and Humanistic therapy. This allows therapy to be both structured and compassionate, practical and emotionally supportive.
